COVID-19 Update May 6, 20 2020
Lassen County completed their Plan for Easing Social Distancing and reopening some businesses and submitted to the State of California for approval. The county is ready for Phase 2.
Currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lassen County; however only 130 people have been tested with 126 negative and 4 pending.
On Thursday, May 7th , Governor Newsom will issue guidelines for some businesses to open in Phase 2.
The Lassen National Forest Office reported this morning that they do not know if campgrounds and marinas will open Memorial Day weekend. Each Phase of the State guidelines requires 14 days before moving to the next Phase. Even if they reach the 14 days by May 22nd, it will take time to re-open as most employees have been furloughed.
Stones Bengard Community Service District plans to have the next Board meeting at 4 P.M. on May 11th at the Fire Hall. We can achieve social distancing in the Fire Hall. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available.
